The house offers beautiful natural light, comfortable furnishings and is well decorated with vintage charm. On the main level, you will find a large fully loaded and updated kitchen, bedroom, living room with a reading nook, and a full bathroom. Upstairs there are two bedrooms, a full bath, a family room with a pullout couch and a washer and dryer. We offer high speed internet, and a smart TV with apps to watch Netflix, Amazon and more. The house also offers a back deck with a porch swing, chairs, and a bbq. There is enough space for two families or a group of adults to enjoy comfortably. Take a short walk to Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, Wharf, Downtown Santa Cruz and West Cliff Drive and keep your eyes out for sea life. 2 BEDROOM HOUSE - OFFERED YEAR ROUND AND SLEEPS UP TO 4 PERSONS
This sweet vintage spacious 2 bedroom cottage is filled with natural light and comfortable classy chic furnishings. Take advantage of a fully loaded kitchen, where you can make a delicious meal. The perfect get away for a family or friends. Occupancy is strictly for 4 guests. We offer high speed wifi and a smart TV with apps like Netflix, Amazon, etc so you can log in and watch your favorite shows. Washer and dryer are in the cottage for your personal use.  Enjoy the covered front porch while taking in the views of the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk and Santa Cruz Wharf or retreat to the enclosed sun porch for your favorite book. The backyard is filled with wild flowers. Walking distance to shopping and dining. You will love being able to park the car and walk everywhere! Enjoy being near it all on Beach Hill. Surfside Apartments is family-owned and professionally managed. We take great care in all the little details to ensure you feel welcomed and at home. You will need to climb stairs to get to the grounds but once you are up it is all single level. The community gardens are for our guests to enjoy. There's plenty of seating to relax on the lawn or kick back in the gazebo to enjoy a game or delicious meal. If you want more privacy you can retreat to your private house and kick back on the covered front porch. We are only two blocks from the beach and walking distance to shops, restaurants, the wharf, downtown Santa Cruz and the Santa Cruz Yacht Harbor.

 TO RESERVE A RENTAL

Give us a call at 831-471-7110. A deposit is required to reserve a rental. The total of all reservations will include an 11% transient occupancy tax and a $1.90 per day fee.  You will see this as a line item when booking your visit. Full refunds are given for cancellation 20 days prior to your reservation date. After that, you forfeit your deposit.

We request your cooperation in the following:

  • Please remember to properly display your parking permit on your car's mirror and return permit and keys by 11 am on check-out day.

  • Please respect our city noise ordinance after 10:00 PM and be respectful of your neighbors at all hours.

  • Please remove as much sand as possible before entering your house.

  • Please wash all cookware, dinnerware, and utensils before you leave.

  • Please start a load of towels before check out. 

  • Garbage – Recycling is mandatory in Santa Cruz. Two refuse containers are provided in your kitchen to facilitate separation of garbage from recyclables. Separate bins for garbage and recyclables are located in the garage. A code will be provided to you in your check-in message.  Before you check out your bagged garbage and loose recyclables should be deposited in the brown and blue cans provided. PIZZA BOXES ARE GARBAGE.

  • Bicycles - Bicycles are not permitted inside the houses, but may be kept in the bicycle shed provided behind the rose garden. A key can be obtained from the manager. 

 

Check-in anytime after 4 pm and Check Out is anytime before 11:00 AM

Your rental must be vacated by 11:00 AM on check out date, with keys and parking permits returned to your unit, or an additional day’s fee will be charged.

Surfside Information & Policies Parking

Parking:   

One parking permit is provided for the 2 bedroom house and two parking permits are provided for the 3 bedroom house.  The permit allows you park on Cliff Street and the immediately adjacent streets, but you must be sure to place your parking permit plainly in view attached to your rear view mirror facing forward. Please do so promptly after your arrival. During the summer the parking attendants patrol the area continually and cars without visible parking permits are cited. Parking fines are around $58.00. The loading zone is available for loading and unloading, but violations of the time limit are also subject to fine over which we have no control.  

 

Restrictions:  

  • Dogs, cats, and other animals are not permitted on the premises, no exceptions.  

  • Smoking is also not permitted in the rental unit or on the property.

  • The Surfside property, and your rental unit, are for registered guests only.

  •  

Checkout Time – The day you are checking out you must be vacated by 11:00 AM so that it can be cleaned for the next guest. Late check-out may result in an additional nights fee being charged to your credit card.

 

An additional cleaning/damage fee may be charged to your credit card if you smoke on the property, have not cleaned as per Surfside posted policies, if your unit is left unusually dirty, with trash and recycling left in the unit, or if there is damage to the room or furnishings.

 

Gardens – We maintain a garden for the pleasure of all our guests. In order to do so, we must insist that children not run around or play ball in the gardens. But we have a good sized lawn and encourage you, and your children, to enjoy it.
